"On the way to everywhere but in between nowhere." That's how Crescent Mills was described by a regular customer of Crescent Country. This charming store, located in Crescent Mills, is owned by mother and daughter, Barbara Tucker and Lisa Forcino. A smaller version of their present store began in 1985, as
a small craft co-op in a cottage next to the Crescent Hotel. In 1994, Barbara
and Lisa began remodeling a vacant building that they had purchased across the
highway. The transformation from an industrial building to their present
store is amazing. |

When you see the vision, of what it was and what it has become, it's a small clue to what awaits for you inside. If you have never visited Crescent Country during
the holidays, you are missing out. It was the first store to have
a Christmas open house in Plumas County, now many others have followed,
celebrating the beginning of the season, always the first weekend of
November. |
