"On the way to everywhere but in between nowhere."  That's how Crescent Mills was described by a regular customer of Crescent Country.  This charming store, located in Crescent Mills, is owned by mother and daughter, Barbara Tucker and Lisa Forcino.

A smaller version of their present store began in 1985, as a small craft co-op in a cottage next to the Crescent Hotel. In 1994, Barbara and Lisa began remodeling a vacant building that they had purchased across the highway.  The transformation from an industrial building to their present store is amazing.

Then

When you see the vision, of what it was and what it has become, it's a small clue to what awaits for you inside.

If you have never visited Crescent Country during the holidays, you are missing out.  It was the first store to have a Christmas open house in Plumas County, now many others have followed, celebrating the beginning of the season, always the first weekend of November.
