An Ancient Trail - A Maidu Automobile Tour top

As you drive along paved highways linking Quincy to Indian Valley to Susanville, you will be following an ancient trail through the land of the Mountain Maidu Indians. This trail, known to the Maidu people as Worldmaker's Trail, has been compiled into an auto-tour brochure which highlights 15 locations. The tour is 67 miles long and takes approximately two hours to drive. Along the route are several lovely walks and side tours. The brochure is complete with pictures and Maidu storytelling of each of the 15 locations. Ask for your free auto-tour brochure at any of the county's chamber offices.

Historic Greenville Main Street Walking Tour top
"Framing the Past"

"Framing the Past" is a project of the Cy Hall Memorial Museum at 224 Main Street in Greenville.  Leaflets describing the tour are available at the Indian Valley Chamber of Commerce office, located on 408 Main Street, next door to Hunter's Hardware

The self-guided tour begins at the Cy Hall Museum, and continues north to Pine Street, with attractions on both sides of the street.  The first attraction is the museum itself, which was the Bransford and McIntyre Warehouse, circa 1877.  As you continue up Main Street, you will see twenty additional sites, each described in the leaflet (as well as in the on-line version).
